Alerts

The alerts displayed here are determined by the permissions on your account.

 

There are two types of alerts:

  • Informational Alerts
    These alerts provide general information about your account and the portal. Once these alerts are closed they are no longer displayed.
  • Actionable Alerts
    These alerts expect an action from you. If these alerts are closed before the required action is completed, then all old unresolved items are displayed together with new alerts when they are generated.

Below is a description of all the alerts that are displayed.

  • “X delivery tickets need your attention”:
    These are the Pending Delivery tickets. The “View” button will redirect you to the ‘Pending Tickets’ This will appear only if you have access as a ticket approver. The number displayed next to the alerts decreases if tickets are approved and increases if new pending tickets are added after a system sync. Closing this alert is temporary: when a new ticket is pending approval, all unapproved tickets are displayed again.

 

  • “X documents have been shared with you”:
    This redirects you to the “Documents” module to view new documents shared by other users. This alert is informational only and does not expect an action from you. Closing this alert is permanent: it is displayed again only when new documents are shared.

 

  • “X locations have a new delivery stop on them”:
    These are the tank locations that have a new Delivery Stop on them since the last time you cleared this alert. The “View” button will redirect you to the ‘Tanks’ dashboard page only if you have access to the tanks page. This alert is informational only and does not expect an action from you. Closing this alert is permanent: it is displayed again only when new Delivery Stop Requests are added.

 

  • “X users need your attention”:
    These are the users from the ‘Admin > Pending Requests’ The “View” button will redirect you to the ‘Admin> Pending Requests’ page and is only visible by company administrators. The number displayed next to the alerts increases when new users are assigned to the company and decreases when requests are resolved. Closing this alert is temporary: when a new user is pending registration, all users still pending registration are displayed again.

 

  • “X users have been locked”:
    These are the users that got locked either by an administrator or by failing to provide the correct credentials when trying to login. The “View” button will redirect you to the ‘Admin> Locked Users’ page and is only visible by company administrators. The number displayed next to the alerts increases when new users get locked and decreases when users are unlocked. Closing this alert is temporary: when a new user gets locked, all users still waiting to be unlocked are displayed again.

 

  • “X tanks need your attention”:
    These are the tanks needing attention from the tanks page. The “View” button will redirect you to the ‘Tanks Dashboard > Tanks Needing Attention’ page and is only visible if you have access to the tanks dashboard. The number displayed next to the alerts decreases if locations have an order placed on them and increases if new tanks dropped below 20%. Closing this alert is temporary: when a new tank drops below 20%, all tanks still below 20% and without orders are displayed again.

 

  • “X locations have been issued work orders”:
    These are the ‘Past Services’ since you last cleared this alert. The “View” button will redirect you to the ‘Services>Past Services’ page and is only visible by users with access to the services page. The number displayed next to the alerts increases if new services were completed. Closing this informational alert is permanent: it is displayed again when new services get fully completed and only counts the new services that are entered in the “Past Services”

 

  • “X locations had a delivery made”:
    These are the deliveries made since you last resolved this alert. The “View” button will redirect you to the “Deliveries > Past Deliveries” page and is only visible by users with access to the deliveries page. The number displayed next to the alerts increases if new deliveries were completed. Closing this informational alert is permanent: it is displayed again when new deliveries get fully completed and only counts the new deliveries that enter the ‘Past Deliveries’
